Rejection is a work based on observing relations between people and their eating habits. The theme Corners, Fractures and Edges are quite literally translated in the work. The artist had recount this epiphany which occurred when she was having a satisfying meal with her dad in the morning and was absentmindedly, though fixedly looking at the pieces of bread crusts that her dad had peeled off before consuming it. It is interesting how some people finds the brown corners to. be a disgust. She used the colour blue to emphasise that strong sense of distaste. Some may find them startling and unappetising.
